Painting Declared Fraud
By John Sowell

The recently discovered painting proclaimed to be the last piece by Monclair, the Colonial painter, was proven a fake today. Two weeks ago the painting was recovered from reappropriated personal property. The title, Once Upon a Time Where They Live Life Fast and They Scared of Dark, was written on the back of the canvas in what appeared to be red crayon. Before further investigation, news of the painting circulated. A minor faction of a religious group of oracles of the Lords of Kobol hailed it as a prophecy soon come to pass. A former art professor offered his services in the investigation, which yielded an unexpected result. A disappoint to the parties involved, the paints were found to contain chemicals not present in those manufactured before the Cylon attack. Monclair's only known surviving artwork is in the office of William Adama aboard the Galactica. He could not be reached for comment.

Date: 2008-10-23 11:33 am (UTC)SRSLY, that's really awesome.
Makes me wish very much that I had ever bothered watching Bionic Woman, but more than that, I love that I don't really understand most of the allusions and references here but the picture; so obviously Kara, is just perfectly placed with her mystical weird, awesome nature. I now desperately want freakishly similar ancient pictures of Kara to start showing up in the show.
Also, where did you get the picture from Adama's office?

Thanks!

I have a monster BSG vid I'm working on now. It's driving me a bit insane, but I'm hoping to have it completed before the back half of this season starts. For the primse to work the way I want it to, it has to be out before the rest of the season. It's from the Cylon God POV, so it's rather difficult to edit without going too far.
Ohhhhh, "Sweet Religion" was one of the ideas I really liked. I'm looking forward to that one.
