I think Tigh sees himself as two people, while Tory sees herself as "becoming" her real self with the knowledge of her true nature. Tory is an extremely complex and interesting character that I had to explore her in vid form for the manifesto challenge.

I need direction to perfection

3. YOU MADE A TORY VID OMG OMG!
4. I think my favorite thing about this is the sense of agency it gives her. In the show, Tory tends to come across as subservient and reactive, but your vid turns that around so she has ownership over her misdeeds, her mistakes, and her evolution.
5. I also love the way you used fast intercutting of faces. It's quite an un-robot-y song, but the unusual editing brings in a touch of the alien.
6. (FYI I've been tweaking the tags on your posts according to my rather arbitrary notions -- feel free to put them back if you disagree.) The Laura/Tory is subtle, but not the worse for it!
p.s. I still owe you comments on your porn vid, I know. I had some strong and ambivalent reactions to it, and I'm going to have to spend some time working through how to articulate them.

I adore Tory and I don't understand the hate in fandom of her. I think she's amazing and she quickly climbed her way up my favorite character list.
Tweak away on the tags. I never know how to appropriately tag. I can't even decide on the tags of my own journal. :)
Earlier today I was saying how Rekha Sharma expresses so much in her face and her eyes.
Editing to a live song made it a little different than editing to a studio recorded song. This live version had some rough edges to work with style-wise.
Many people backed away slowly from my porn vid, so as not to scare it. Take as long as you want. :) Some random person sent me an e-mail about it to thank me for including so many shots of "tits". That was the highlight of my week... only not so much.
